Bible Study

Wednesday Night Ladies Bible Study
The Wednesday Night Ladies Bible Study is a spiritual happy hour with a wide open circle of women at various stages in their lives    and journeys of faith. Members come for fellowship as well as spiritual growth, a deeper understanding of God's word, and a clearer sense of His plan for us. Individual studies range from six weeks to three months depending on the material selected. Meetings last from 6:30pm to 8:30pm (those whose schedules permit  meet for dinner at 5:30 pm). New members are always welcome. For additional information, contact the church office or Joanne Davis.

Helen Sanders
The Helen Sanders Bible Study group is inter-denominational and meets at the church on Tuesday mornings at 10:00 a.m. for an hour.  We begin in September after Labor Day and break in early December.   We start back in January after New Year's and finish up in early-to-mid May.  Please come join us for an hour of Bible Study, prayers, songs and fellowship.

Beth Moore Bible Study
Changes are coming to Women’s Monday Night Bible Study—we are going to start meeting at 6:30pm on TUESDAY night.  Beginning September 7th we will meet for a study of HERE AND NOW—THERE AND THEN.  There is another change:  we will not meet on the third Tuesday of each month we are in session.  It is an 11 lecture series based on the Book of Revelation.  It will be given by Beth Moore but she makes no bones about the fact that she’s a fellow seeker to understand this book. She’s attempted to seek the wisdom and knowledge of God-seeking, God-fearing scholars through multiple commentaries and perspectives and, in doing so, she’s attempted to translate some of their interpretations into laymen’s terms and applications.  Because we are limited to 11 weeks we are forced to leave out so many verses of the book but we will find brief weekly assignments to help us keep up the reading and broaden some small measure of understanding.  By the time we complete these assignments, we will, at least, have successfully read all 22 chapters.  In doing so, we are promised a blessing from the very opening of the Apocalypse, particularly if you “take to heart what is written in it” (Rev. 1:3)

Come join us.  The student books are a little less expensive, the homework is shorter but the DVD is about one hour and fifteen minutes.  Please come join us.  Please contact Gayle Hines if you are interested.  Books will be purchased on September 1st, so I must know by then.     Please come join us.  We will again be led by Libby Frederick and hope to use the flat screen TV to  make our viewing more pleasurable.
