HOPE  Ministry - Homeless Outreach Providing Encouragement

Hope Ministry is an outreach program designed to provide homeless people a break in their day and week while offering them a safe and  encouraging environment. This ministry offers many valuable services to our homeless community, including:

Volunteers are equally blessed by having the opportunity to witness to this great group of men and women.

Weekly HOPE update:

• Really good day today. Everyone was in good spirits.
• My favorite part was watching folks work to make HOPE happen. The Lord is doing a special work here through HOPE.
• Tommy wants to go see his mother. Says she is in very poor health. Do buses run to Louisburg? Or does anyone feel lead to drive him to Louisburg?
• I really enjoyed the day.  There was a ton of good food but not as many people so they all got as much as they wanted I am sure. I got a chance to sit down and eat with them and talked to several guys, not sure of their names but we talked about being laid off. I just feel very blessed to be able to help out the HOPE group.
• Rabbit was sporting a brand-new scooter!  Now going to try to save up money to get the old one fixed enough to sell.  He was definitely a happy camper!
• Duck apparently stayed in because of the weather, but he was missed, as usual.
• Didn't see Edgar. Hope he's ok. Or may have just missed him.
• Everyone seemed to be in a good mood.  Mark again looked VERY good and was cracking jokes like always.
• Pastor Jim came in looking like Santa again, with a huge bag of clothing collected by our friends at 1st Presbyterian.  They don't miss a week sending something over for our friends.  What a blessing they are!
• Plenty of good food, lots of good fellowship and a good time had by all.
